Facilitated the establishment of Nursing Homes Ireland, now the representative organisation of Voluntary and Private Nursing Homes. Advised Nursing Home Organisations on their response to the Draft National Quality Standards for Nursing Homes. CEO of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service until 2002. Former programme Manager for both Hospitals and Community Care services with the South Eastern Health Board.
